True Meaning of Christmas

Christmas time is coming near,
The time for hope, the time for cheer.
It once was a celebration of joy,
Now a time when children get toys.

We get what we want and so much more,
Things pilled high on the floor.
What happened long ago we should remember,
One special night in December.

So on this Christmas Day,
Remember this is a birthday.
And all those toys,
Have replaced this simple joy.
