This is My Friend

A person who has always been my friend.
No matter what, through thick and thin.
When we met,
I did not threat,
I knew he'd be there to the end.

As we grew
Neither of us knew,
He was to go,
Til it was so.
Then it had to be true.

When he came home,
He ran to the phone.
To say that he was,
Here just because,
This was his home.
